Red isn't a color I wear that often. It's a color that demands attention, and even though I've no problem posting pictures all over the interwebs, I am in fact quite shy in real life! But I love this vintage dress. There's just something about a drop-waist. Curvy girls, take note - drop-waisted dresses are fantastic. They hug you where it counts, and skim over the rest.
On a side note, I couldn't even fit back into this dress until about a week ago. My husband had been telling me I was losing weight, but I didn't really believe it until I zipped this little number right up. The funny thing is, I haven't even been trying. It's just a side benefit of going gluten-free. Shocking, considering the amount of chocolate I indulged in last week!
In any case, it's so nice to be fitting into my beloved vintage collection again. These dresses are like old friends.
Aren't these cat tattoo tights fun? I'm enjoying wearing whimsical things like this while it lasts. My 40th birthday is coming late this year, so I'm on borrowed time for things such as cat tights without looking like a crazy geriatric!
I bought these t-straps from ModCloth last month. They were my last indulgence for awhile. I'm on a shopping freeze right now. We have some financial goals as a family, and we would really like to take a nice vacation this coming year, so I am staying away from my favorite retail haunts. It's just best for me to avoid temptation entirely!
