It's been a few days. This week, we had lots of important things we had to do for our business, and some happy personal things are going on as well. We are celebrating two engagements at work - my business partner and friend, Sa'dia, as well as Kayla, our nail specialist, both got rings within the past month! The salon is aglow with wedding plans. I'm so happy for both of the girls. It's so fun, and brings back memories of how excited I was when Ryan and I got engaged. I can't believe we've been married for almost two years! He still tolerates me, somehow. ;)
I helped throw a surprise 40th birthday party for one of my best friends. Seeing her cry because she was so happy and surprised was pretty awesome. We'll be going to Eureka Springs in a few weeks to celebrate both of our birthdays. It'll be fun, because we're going to stay at a haunted hotel! Just in time for Halloween.
My daughter is doing really, really well in school this year. Her spelling tests have been perfect, and she is scoring high marks for her behavior. I am very proud of her. She's matured so much in the past year - talking to her is like speaking to a miniature adult. She is so empathetic. Sure, she's a kid, so she still has her selfish moments. But she's very caring. We decided that we are going to take a couple days in the next few months and volunteer at an animal shelter. (Her idea!)
Rachel featured me in a blogger spotlight she did recently on her blog: Rachel the Hat. It was pretty cool to be grouped with such a nice bunch of ladies. Check out their blogs! You'll enjoy them.
The leaves are starting to change, a little at a time. I can see the fall color beginning to creep into the copse of trees behind our house. In just a few weeks, they'll be ablaze. I can't wait.
How is your September wrapping up?
I would love to be planning my wedding again. Seeing it come together just like I pictured it was just perfect. Congratulations to the newly engaged!
Looking gorgeous as usual!

Laura, doesn't it make you want to have another wedding? (To the same guy, of course!) So much has changed with weddings in the past couple years. I had so much fun with all the DIY stuff. Thanks, love!
