This isn't really a week in pictures post, but a photo essay I did this weekend to practice macro photography. I love doing close-ups and photographing things not only as documentation of an object, but in a way that takes into consideration line and shadow. I'm learning to see the world in a different way, and it's very exciting. I edited some of these photos using LightRoom and Camera Bag. I think pictures 2 and 8 have a chiaroscuro look to them - one of my favorite moods in photos and paintings.
Top to bottom these objects are:
Lip of a bottle
Peacock Feather
Lampshade
Electricity Meter
Yarn
Headlight Lens (Self-Portrait)
Water Meter
Thistle
Manhole Cover
Bolt
Do you like to photograph objects in unconventional ways? Do you have any tips for this type of photography?
All images were taken with a Canon Rebel DSLR with a 55mm lens.
