One of the things I love most about the holidays is the chance to completely change the decor of your home, if only for a month. It's another way to express creativity and personality. This year, I went for a rustic theme with our tree and decor - sticking with shades of gold and red with lots of wooden ornaments. It's very cozy and warm.
One of the most special things about our tree is the handmade snowflakes my mom crocheted for us. When I was little, I used to help her block these ornaments and prep them for gift giving and craft bazaars. My daughter helped her this year. It makes me really want to give crochet another try (I knit) so that I can pass this tradition on to my future granddaughter.
So bring on the nights of hot chocolate, mulled cider, and gingerbread. I'm ready.
Do you have any Christmas traditions you look forward to each year?
